Fergus woke up and started calling at 7.45, which was very good. Me on the other hand was up every hour from 4am checking to see that he was okay. I reckoned that in my room, even slight movements from me wakes him up earlier than he might normally, so good to get uninterrupted sleep in kitchen. I hope for that tonight 😊
After breakfast we went for walks round the garden and he was ready for another sleep at 8.30, sleeping by 8.45 and up again at 9.40. We played fetch in the garden, went for more walks round the garden, got bitey, came in was calm again and got distracted by something in the kitchen. He has been sniffing around the kitchen unit kick boards, scraping away trying to get behind them. When he was outside I had a look behind them and there’s nothing there. More outside play then back in where he fell asleep on my lap at 11.15. Woke up again at 11.30 Now in garden with treat in a box game, which has filled half an hour.
We had walk round garden and a walk down the road on the lead. Came back and eventually put in crate as fighting sleep again about 13.10. Awake 14.35. More of the above and sleeping at 15.30.
Awake in time for tea, we went walking and more play first. One of the things he was good at today was finding me at the top of garden when I used the ‘come’ whistle, he managed it a few times.
Didn’t eat his tea, even though he wanted mine. Been adding salad to his which he quite enjoys.
He had another sleep after tea and we are now into the time when he tries to stay awake, even when he’s tired.
Went for a couple of sleeps before bedtime, usual wanting to get over excited couldn’t settle for a while. Eventually sat with me from about 22.30 to 11.40 when he went to bed in the kitchen.
