Fergus Rearranging the Forest!

When Fergus was able to start going out for walks I found a local forest that was large, quiet and enclosed and just five minutes from where we live.

Although Fergus kept close on the trail at first, always checking to see where I was, it wasn’t long before he began to explore a futher ahead or to the sides of the trail.

He would fly at speed through the trees and back to the trail, and became quite agile and adept at climbing steep sides of the hill, then jumping back down again. At first he was a bit shaky and lacked gracefulness, but he soon became very strong and fast, building his leg muscles allowing him to travel at speed up and down the hillside.

The other thing he began to enjoy was collecting sticks, some quite large, and he would carry them to new locations on our walk. This also developed into a game of stick throwing, although when he got the stick he qwouldn’t give it back. Instead he would take it to a new location and mark it for next time.
