Fergus likes to keep watch through the doors of the conservatory, watching birds and other animals that might drop into our garden.
Today he was very surprised by a large colourful pheasant that took shelter just under the doors of his lookout. He would love to have met the bird in person, but had to make do with looking through the glass.
Although he was obviously fascinated by the bird, the pheasant was completely unaware that he had a spectator, especially one that was so close and only separated by two thin double glazed panes of glass.
Later when we went for our walk, Fergus always remembers such events, and went off to search for the visitor, but he was long gone.
